Malcolm Roddis – Master of Ceremonies

Involved in the pro-life movement since 1976 when he helped to found Coalition for Life in BC to bring the cause of life into the political arena.  The organization was to eventually become Campaign Life Coalition in BC. He served as its President for 5 years.

In 1980, he helped to found Abbotsford Right to Life Society which was later to become Advokate Life & Education Services Society, serving as its President for 12 years.

In 1998, he was appointed Chair of the Focus on Life Media Campaign which was a joint venture of the Christian Advocacy Society of BC, the Archdiocese of Vancouver, and the Pro-Life Society of BC.  He held this position for 10 years during which time through an annual Gala Dinner, the financial resources were raised to place woman-centred, life-affirming television ads on all major television stations throughout BC.

In 2010, he was recognized by Pope Benedict XVI for his years of service to the family and to the pro-life cause and awarded the Medal Benemerenti.

The Most Reverend Richard W. Smith

On February 25, 2025, Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Smith to the Metropolitan See of Vancouver. He was formally installed as the 12th Archbishop of Vancouver on May 23, 2025, the 38th anniversary of his priestly ordination.

At the level of the CCCB, the Archbishop currently serves as a member of the Canadian Catholic Indigenous Council and as chair of the Ad Hoc Committee on Indigenous Issues.

Cameron Côté

Cameron serves as both the Western Outreach Director for CCBR, overseeing outreach activity throughout western Canada, as well as being the co-host of The Pro-Life Guys Podcast, a program dedicated to equipping pro-lifers with the tools they need to change minds, save lives, and transform our culture.

For over 15 years, Cameron has been involved in equipping pro-life individuals and groups from around the world with the tools they need to have compassionate and compelling conversations about abortion, most notably campus, community, and national pro-life organizations in Canada, the USA, and England. He has served on the board of directors for local, regional, and national pro-life groups across Canada.

After graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Cameron joined CCBR’s staff team in 2013, leading CCBR’s western internships from 2013 until 2017 before moving into his current role in which he oversees operations in CCBR’s Vancouver, Calgary, and Winnipeg offices, as well as a handful of volunteer-led community groups.

Marian Neels

Marian is the President of BC Life Network and the Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Chilliwack Pro-Life. With a background in education and a deep love of learning, she is passionate about equipping youth and adults with truth and compassion on life issues. Marian has served on the board of several organizations, including  Chilliwack Pro-Life, Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society and the BC Conservative Party of Chilliwack North Riding Association. She is also a wife and mother of six. Marian is committed to defending life by helping others make God-honouring choices and avoid a lifetime of regret in a culture often clouded by confusion.

Dr. Kevin Sclater

Dr. Kevin Sclater lives and works in Maple Ridge, BC. He is married with 3 adult children. He has been a family doctor for over 30 years in addition to working as a palliative medicine doctor for 25 years – much of this palliative work has been providing care for patients in their final weeks of life at hospice. In addition to his family practice in Maple Ridge, he is currently providing palliative medicine consultations for patients attending an integrative oncology clinic in South Surrey. He also provides after hours palliative medicine support for community and hospice patients in the Fraser North region.

He believes that a natural death can be achieved with comfort and dignity. Kevin has been personally and professionally opposed to euthanasia (Medical Assistance in Dying, MAiD) as an end of life solution since before the law was changed to allow it. He will be speaking about the impending (2027) extension of MAiD laws to include those with mental illness and why this should be vehemently opposed.

He supports organizations that are opposed to euthanasia – including Delta Hospice Society and the Euthansia Prevention Coalition.

Bronwyn Gray

Bronwyn is a deeply-loved daughter of God, very precious in His sight. This is the most important thing about her. She has also taught the Bible and English for five years, two of which were in Cambodia. She is blessed to be a certified biblical counselor and hold a master’s degree in English. Her master’s thesis was focused on a biblical understanding of human value, which motivated her to direct a short pro-life film called “Worth More” about euthanasia in Canada. Bronwyn loves hiking, reading, and sharing her faith. Currently, she is teaching English to high school students and engaging in writing projects.

Tamara Jansen

Langley-native, Tamara Jansen, is a passionate community contributor who has fought her entire career for the people of Canada and their rights as a Member of Parliament for  Cloverdale—Langley City. From speaking up in defence of the elderly and disabled to upholding the rights of the small business community, she has always been focused on advocating for a better future for our city. Throughout her accomplished career, and as a proud business owner herself, she has been singularly focused on fighting for a secure, thriving future for her community. For over 30 years, Tamara and her husband Byron have worked together to build an agricultural business that provides jobs for hundreds of people and creates employment opportunities for thousands more.

From being brought up by a single mother to raising her own children—and now experiencing the joy of grandchildren—she is aware of the challenges that come with balancing work and family. With her incessant desire for our youth to achieve their dreams and goals, she’s always mindful that today’s new parents face more challenges than ever.

Reverend Jeremy Segstro

Reverend Jeremy Segstro has served the Lord all across Canada – in the pew in the prairies, as a seminary student in Ontario, and as a pastor in British Columbia for the last seven years.  He currently serves in the Yarrow Canadian Reformed Church in Yarrow BC, where his favorite two words are well-known by the whole congregation.  The gospel in two words: BUT GOD!  HIs entire life revolves around and is motivated by the love of God in Christ Jesus his Lord.
